55 and Over: This group meets on the third Thursday of the month from September through May. Members gather for lunch in the cafeteria and then attend a program that provides entertainment and/or information about relevant issues.

Athletic Programs: St. Christopher offers a wide variety of sports for youth in the parish. These sports include kickball, volleyball, soccer, track and field, and cross-country for youth in grades four through eight; basketball for boys in grades one through twelve; and chess for youth in grades one through six. St. Christopher participates in the Catholic Youth Organization (“CYO”). This gives the athletes the opportunity to play against other parish teams from around the metropolitan area and to compete at different skill levels.

Christopher Tours: Members of this group have taken trips to places such as Bardstown, KY, and the Abbey of Gethsemani; Churchill Downs; Oldenburg; St. Mary of the Woods; and many other various attractions.

The Communicator: This parish newsletter informs the parish community of the events and offerings available at the parish. It is published at different times of the year.

Parish Registrations: On the first Sunday of the month after every mass these volunteers help register new parishioners to the community of St. Christopher by filling out the registration cards and presenting the new parishioner with a Welcome Packet. It is a wonderful way to introduce one’s self and the community to new members.

Receptions: This committee provides a reception after the Easter Vigil for everyone in attendance to welcome those who are received into the Church. This group of volunteers prepares and serves the food as well as creates a festive atmosphere for this annual celebration. Besides hosting a reception for the Easter Vigil, this committee also prepares for celebrations that mark specific milestones in our parish community.

Sunday Coffee & Donuts: Parishioners are invited to the Damascus Room on the first Sunday of the month from October through May after the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Masses to socialize and learn more about various ministries in the parish.

Support and Social: On the fourth Thursday of the month, members of this group meet for lunch at one of the several local eateries. All of these women have lost a spouse or other significant person. These women are a help to each other through the bereavement process.
